To analyze and identify the pain-points associated with the user experience of making tea with an electric kettle, the steps of the process were observed and documented. Main points of conflict included not knowing the appropriate amount of water and waiting for the water to be heated to the correct temperature. Additionally, many teas need to be steeped at different temperatures that may be too specific for the typical ranges on electric kettles.
